Bayou Benefit - Canceled
Dear Friends,
After months of best effort planning and hard work, we have regretfully decided to cancel Marian House's Bayou Benefit event scheduled for February 22, 2009. We assessed the status of actual tickets sold and determined that it is most prudent and cost efficient for us to cancel.
We truly appreciate everyone who was committed to making our first Mardi Gras celebration a great success - particularly those who were planning to attend, our volunteers, and our vendors. We also understand that the economic climate is negatively impacting many who may have wanted to support Marian House by attending this fun-filled family event, but unfortunately were not in a position to do so.
The decision to cancel the Bayou Benefit has not discouraged us. We will move forward with new ideas to support our mission, while respectfully considering the personal and financial circumstances of our donors, volunteers, and friends.
The year ahead may continue to be challenging for all but we are resilient and we are motivated by our vision to see the lives of the women and children we serve, changed for the better.
