The Sister Act movies are well-known by many and are full of great songs and themes that spark memories and incite laughter at the thought. Sister ACT is a perfect theme for Marian House--we are sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and the School Sisters of Notre Dame; approximately one fourth of the staff are Sisters (nuns); and we serve 'sisters in need.’

During our more than 25 years in operation, we have learned that there are many challenges in life that are common to all women (sisters).We believe that each woman has a God-given ability to overcome adversity, develop a spirit of tenacity, and live a more accomplished and committed life. The Sister ACT Gala is a celebration of that potential; particularly in the lives of the residents of Marian House.

The Gala will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at the fabulous Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore Hotel. The evening will include Vegas gaming, performances by the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Show Choir, a silent auction, great prize raffles, and surprise celebrity guests.
