Dear Friends and Supporters of Marian House,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new President & CEO of Marian House.
As I begin this journey, I first want to thank the Marian House staff and leadership team for their dedication and commitment to the mission and women of the organization during this time of transition. Their steadfastness demonstrates the deep love that the staff have cultivated for this organization, and I am honored to be in a position to lead them into Marian House’s next chapter.
I also want to thank each of you. Your generosity, trust, and commitment to our mission have helped Marian House remain a place of safety, healing, and transformation for women and families across Baltimore. The impact we make every day is possible because of partners like you who believe that every person deserves dignity, stability, and the chance to realize their purpose.
What drew me to Marian House is its unwavering commitment to healing women and to honoring their lived experience as a strength, not a weakness. The organization’s holistic, trauma-informed model recognizes that lasting change happens when both the immediate crisis and the underlying, systemic barriers to stability are addressed simultaneously. This approach deeply resonates with my own values and professional experience.
For nearly two decades, I have dedicated my career to advancing housing stability, economic mobility of low-income communities and ending gender-based violence. I have led teams to develop and enhance programmatic approaches to issues related to homelessness and domestic violence. Now, I am grateful to bring those experiences to Marian House and to work alongside a talented and compassionate team that has spent decades transforming the lives of women and children.
We are entering an important chapter in Marian House’s history. The needs facing women and families in our community continue to evolve, and our mission calls us to respond with both service and compassion, but also with transformation and innovation. Building on the legacy and charisms of our founding communities, the Sisters of Mercy and the School Sisters of Notre Dame, we must remain committed to healing, equity, and mobility for every person we serve.
I am committed to strengthening the foundation of Marian House while expanding our capacity to serve those who need us most. Together with our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners, we will focus on enhancing our operational infrastructure, deepening relationships with supporters and key stakeholders, and ensuring that our programs continue to deliver measurable and lasting outcomes.
I am inspired by what Marian House has accomplished and even more excited about what we can achieve together. Your partnership is essential to that work. Every gift you make, every conversation you have about Marian House, and every opportunity you create for someone in need helps move our mission forward. In the months and years ahead, I look forward to sharing stories of impact, celebrating successes with you, and working together to ensure that more women and families have access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
